A Girl in a War

I’ll admit it. I’ve been thinking of getting another tattoo. But I did that the last time I broke up with a semi-serious relationship. I don’t want it to become a trend. The dove was to impress the standards and promises I will always carry. A permanence of freedom and peace and grace and vulnerability. The next one will prove my future. That I will never, again, forget my value. That my life should be, and will be,  dedicated to more than a man, a city, a nuclear family, a small-minded way of life. That I’m a part of this world, and my eyes were designed to take in everything I see. 

In any case, this has got to be once of the coolest tattoos I’ve ever seen!
